What is “Breathing Room”?

“Breathing Room” is a space born out of the voices of our sINgSPIRE community. It’s a place where we can come together and share our unique voices - unearthing perspective, bolstering connection, and inspiring a sense of belonging.

A "Breathing Room" blog post is sent out to our sINgSPIRE community every Friday. Each week, a new post brings to life the personal perspectives, experiences, and unique narratives of the people that make up our sINgSPIRE community - cultivating a collective empathy in which every unique person can feel seen, heard, understood, and invaluable.

Your voice is what breathes life into this collective community - and we want to hear from YOU!

- FAQ -

I want to share my voice but I don’t know what to write.

  • You have complete creative freedom with what you want to write about! Still stuck? We are happy to send you some questions and writing prompts to jump start your thought process and writing!

How long does it have to be?

  • We suggest aiming for around 500 words, but do not feel restricted by this. It can absolutely be longer or shorter.

How is my post scheduled?

  • Elena, Breathe Bravely’s Director of Creative Development and Community Connections will reach out to you via email or text to discuss with you your time preference and add you to the calendar.

Where is the blog shared?

  • “Breathing Room” is published on the Breathe Bravely website within a webpage that is not visible to the public. Only people with the direct link can access the blog. This link is sent out weekly to sINgSPIRE community members. Contributors may choose to personally share their post publicly.

I am hesitant about my writing and storytelling skills.

  • The beauty about your voice is it’s unique to you! The great thing about blog etiquette is that it’s based upon your voice and how you uniquely speak. It’s a wonderful platform that is not focused on the technical aspects of the written word but is built upon the intuitive and emotional portrayal of what you want to say.
