"What About The Others We Lose?" by Mycah Rose
In loving memory of my dear friend, Dylan
Most of us are much too acquainted with death and grief from bodies born tainted
In the hospital, hellos turn to goodbyes much too soon
To meet another CFer is to see a piece of you partially in tune
With death too soon than our age is due
It is very odd to think one day that will be you.
But what about the others we lose?
Not CFers but it hurts the same to hear the news.
With death there is grief.
That grief causes struggle.
When struggling is coping.
That coping ends in growth.
That growth leads to hope.
So with this process of grief we learn to cope.
